At the end of our interaction, I had to ask him for his email, to send him the work order.

Logic, evidence, facts, reason, science, and medicine are powerless to overcome this kind of deliberate, entrenched, and proud fuckheadness that so typifies Trump's cult and, frankly, a too large percentage of Americans besides.

The most likely cause of the virus was by pushing into territories too quickly which is how it always seems to happen. I think that investigations into the origins of this virus and a lot of the others that seem to be emerging mainly from China, point to their unregulated open animal markets. It is being reported that there is a lot of hunting and trapping of wild animals, sold in markets for their "freshness" as opposed to the factory farmed meat. People are bringing in animals that carry diseases that we don't know of until they start to spread to us.

10. 84 year old female neighbor told me the same thing yesterday.

I very gently tried to steer her true the truth. And I gave her a lot of other facts as well. She kept telling me that she 'hadn't heard that on the news.' Well if you listen to Faux, you're not going to hear any NEWS!

We must have talked for 20 minutes. I could feel when her brain just shut down, and she didn't want to hear any more truth. It hit me that she has this fairytale view of the world, and she likes that view. She doesn't want anyone to disturb that view.

And it finally dawned on me. There really is no way to get through to them. There's no point in wasting my time trying to get them to see the light. It's going to take one of their loved ones dropping dead in front of them from the Coronavirus for them to realize this is real.

There is a thread about Trump trying to steal German scientists who are on the path to an effective treatment for the virus by bribing them with large sums of money to come to the US and make the treatment exclusive to the US. It totally fits into my view of who Trump is and what he is capable of. I try to suspend judgement however, until I get confirmation by several credible sources. I do that because I do not want to become like right wingers who do not use any critical thinking skills.

You are absolutely correct. China was hit hard and is still suffering the effects of the virus. It would be stupid to think that they deliberately spread the infection and cause economic havoc on themselves instead of just sending the virus to the US. The problem is that these right wingers are operating solely on emotion. They are not subject to logic or critical thinking.
