We've speculated for a long time that tRump would welcome a war to bolster his chances for reelection. What if this coronavirus pandemic becomes that war? We all know his incompetence has made matters worse, but just a couple of slick speeches and lucky timing of some progress could change his public perception just enough to sway some lesser informed voters.

Everyone understands that what is happening could have been averted. Everyone understands that now, more than ever, we need competence.

I understand your doubts and sometimes such things can be difficult to cast aside. But you can rest easy about this. You can be sure that elections cannot be suspended. As an earlier poster said, if some states controlled by Republicans want to do so, then the Democrats win. What we do need is vote by mail, and I believe we're going to get it.
