We carry the load, and always have.
We are the heart and soul of America.

the fact that grocery, drugstore and food prep workers are considered essential
workforce during covid19 outbreak proves that those folks deserve a living wage

Either out in the real world or, if lucky, remotely from home. Most are lower middle class, middle class, or upper middle class. Millions and millions of people. None of them is in the 1%. So let’s not start some kind of class war, where there exists only the 1% and the poor.

But you are correct that restaurant workers (where I live, all restaurants in the state are now closed, except for carry out) and many retail workers are out of work temporarily. Fortunately, our (Democratic mostly) state and local officials are trying to get emergency unemployment benefits and other sources to pay these kinds of workers.

But THEY give the 1% the tax cuts because they say they drive the economy.
I am not the one waging a class war.
