Former @fema administrator Craig Fugate just mumbled something about bullshit to @KatyTurNBC and walked off the air. Take a chill pill, man! Not a good look for @uflorida.

And there isn't a lot of info to let us know what they were saying. Half a comment isn't always helpful.

(18,770 posts)2. Andy Slavitt - fmr acting admin of CDC
Andy was calling for a unified head in the Federal Government, but fmr head of FEMA Fugate disagreed, somewhat vehemently.

(13,776 posts)3. Well, Slavitt did say "what your other guest is suggesting here is not helpful"
I guess he took it personally.

I could see getting irritated at him. Not sure if it would get to the point of swearing on national tv, though.

(7,286 posts)5. Does this have to do with Jared Kushner?
Heard he came riding in, took over and caused confusion among various agencies

(18,770 posts)7. Yep. Jared's running a shadow response in the government

Kushner coronavirus team sparks confusion, plaudits inside White House response efforts
March 18, 2020 at 7:01 p.m. EDT
Jared Kushner, President Trumps son-in-law and a senior adviser, has created his own team of government allies and private industry representatives to work alongside the administrations official coronavirus task force, adding another layer of confusion and conflicting signals within the White Houses disjointed response to the crisis.
Kushner, who joined the administrations coronavirus efforts last week, is primarily focused on attempting to set up drive-through testing sites with the help of technology and retail executives, as well as experts in health-care delivery. The goal, officials familiar with the work said, is to have limited testing in a handful of cities running by Friday and to expand the project from there.
But Kushners team is causing confusion among many officials involved in the response, who say they are unsure who is in charge given Kushners dual role as senior adviser and Trump family member. Some have privately dubbed his team a shadow task force whose requests they interpret as orders they must balance with regular response efforts.
Some members of Kushners team are working out of offices on the seventh floor of Health and Human Services headquarters one floor above the office of HHS secretary Alex Azar while others are working out of an office in the West Wing of the White House, officials said.

served in the Obama administration, and the antagonism was shocking to see.

(61,695 posts)8. Today, trump criticized a reporter for critiqueing the Admin, saying,
"You don't even know all that we're doing to fight this."
Now we know why. They aren't telling us everything, including the part about a shadow agency screwing with things.
