Twitter on Thursday denied a request by President Trump's campaign to put a "manipulated media" warning tag on content spread by Democrats under the social media giant's new policy aimed at curbing the spread of misinformation.
According to emails reviewed by The Hill, the Trump campaign flagged new content on Twitter that it said had been deceptively edited to make it seem like the president had called the coronavirus a "hoax."

This clip came up in a Biden ad not long ago, and they protested then, and the main fact check orgs did call it false, but in the most technical sense.
The actual quote is
Then the president, who often dismissed special counsel Robert Muellers Russia investigation as a hoax, continued, They tried the impeachment hoax. That was on a perfect conversation. They tried anything. They tried it over and over. Theyd been doing it since you got in. Its all turning. They lost. Its all turning. Think of it. Think of it. And this is their new hoax.
Trump called the Mueller investigation a 'hoax'. Was it? No.
Trump called his impeachment a 'hoax'. Was it? No.
He repeatedly brushed off calls for action about the virus as Democrats puffing up a minor concern, politicizing it just to generate negative reporting of him. That was the 'hoax'. Was it? No.
And it's not mischaracterizing him to equate that 'hoax' with calling the virus a hoax. A person who didn't regard it as a hoax wouldn't have acted that way.
They dish it out with a trowel the size of an airplane wing, but instantly launch into spoiled-toddler-level high-pitched shrieking at the slightest boo-boo.
