Ryan lying again...Rachel shows clips

In an interview with Nora on CNN, she points out to Ryan that, regarding his criticism of Obama for cutting defense spending, that Ryan himself VOTED for those defense cuts, and further, issued a statement afterward stating that they'd had a VICTORY.

Ryan stumbles (I guess he didn't think broadcasters would look at his voting record?), then says I HAVE to correct you, Nora. What I voted for was (blah blah blah...name of bill)...

Nora interrupts and says, "Yes, that was the bill with the defense cuts."

Ryan: You're just wrong, Nora.

End of video clip. Rachel says that actually, Nora had it right.

I guess that's Ryan's M.O. Following Rove's Rule, just deny deny deny. People will eventually believe it. But he's lied so many times, looks like people have caught on....he lies.

can understand. From that moment on, people look at him differently, looking for the lie, and he's like an athlete who has suddenly clutched. He can't get the old magic back. It keeps getting worse and worse for him. A strange and wonderful thing to see in this case (I would never wish that on an actual athlete).

and I find it so interesting that after so many years, Lance Armstrong's issue became a high level news item shortly before Ryan was caught in this lie. The public was newly aware of this subject of possible lying and cheating at sports (not a judgement either way, just an observation) right before this happened!

The RR gang sure have been having a string of bad days.....

You know, politicians spin, tell half truth, exaggerate, make promises they can't keep. That's the norm. But to out and out just make crap up? That's lunacy in this day and age with facts at the fingertips of the media AND the public. That's just stupid.

What happened to integrity (to the extent politicians can have it), telling the truth (even if spinned)? But then what do you expect from a Bain man who likes to fire people and seems to have no compassion or decency when it comes to normal people?

Their lust for the office got the better of them. Win at all costs.
