I keep thinking my first tweet should be important. Also, I don't think anyone would read it since I have no followers. I really need to figure out how all of it works first.

I am following 160 and being followed by 43. Some people automatically follow people who follow them, so you'll pick up a few that way. I specifically deselect tweeters who are boring and/or uninformative, even if they are following me.

There is a lot of good stuff to tweet right here on DU. Why not start with posts that strike you as original, new or just plain funny. I often tweet the photoshop of the day right off the bat.
