...it brings it home how Bush & Cheney owed their success to a damage control team that was operating with military precision. They were calling out their critics with accusations of unpatriotism, all the while that the Oval office was calling media heads directly to bring them into the inner circle. And then, they paid pundits to get the "right" message out.

We really lived through a coup, didn't we?

When I think of the poisoned atmosphere that I had to raise my children under, it just gets me angrier. The most important time for me with my family was the most stressful because of the political ambitions of people who wouldn't understand the first thing about family values.
