Favorite Obama Moment.....

Just wondering if anyone had a favorite Obama 1.0 moment.

For me, the day he met with the entire GOP House and did that Q & A session was my favorite. Thats was they day that, IMO, confirmed he was the right guy for the job.

Anyone else?

2. His endorsement of same-sex marriage was when I stopped wondering if there would be an Obama 2.0.

Fortunately, the hostile reaction from liberals and progressives to Obama's "evolution" on the subject reached him. He realized he couldn't go through with his plan to wait until the DNC convention, but he didn't want to give the Rethugs fodder by making it look as though he was being intimidated into flip-flopping, either. So he cranked up his gaffe machine: Joe Biden takes an affirmative stand just before North Carolina passed their anti-gay initiative, and Obama followed up afterwards!

3. Two, actually. In the debates with several candidates. He was the most throughtful and respectful.

The other was this video. Some now say Chinese debt is not the major debt, but this was under Bush This video is a community meeting in Iowa in July 2007.

Town halls were going on in my part of the country on these figures as people in the know, who kept up with things, knew this. Most of the money was fraud, and we knew what was going on in detail over there, too. Many demonstrated every week in public against the war here.

Obama was cognizant of what we wanted in our communities. After seeing this, I followed him closely and listened to the videos of him I could find until the election. I was still for Gravel until near the end of the primary but Obama was my second choice and I was glad to vote for him.

Not as an alternative to the GOP, but for what I saw before the election. I regard him as the best president of my lifetime, and wish he could get 12 more years instead of 4.

This is why we can't have nice things.
