UPDATE: "Van Duzer's pizza parlor is being inundated with orders. ...they're swamped now"

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/09/10/1130051/-UNDER-ATTACK-SUPPORT-BIG-APPLE-PIZZA-ORDER-A-PIE

UPDATE #4: Notice to Kos members: Seems Van Duzer's pizza parlor is being inudated with orders. LOL This is great, but they're swamped now. Literally. So they'd much rather you donate directly to The Van Duzer Foundation. Let's keep the love flowing, folks, in the form of donations. I want to blow these GOP thugs out of the water with their stupid boycott.

I just looked through the Kos diary & someone provided a video of his interview with Wolf Blitzer. Van Duzer is very impressive; upbeat & very likeable.

And, I'll admit to buying a few Dominoes pizzas back in college even though I was supposed to be boycotting them. Boycotts are hard to to maintain but loyal repeat customers always return.

You have to remember this guy does not own a huge chain, he owns a small family business. He does not need, nor is he equipped to handle thousands of customers a day. If he can just sell a few hundred pizzas a day he will have a hugely successful business. His business is now world famous, if just .01% of the people who are paying attention now remember this guy that will be more than enough people to support a small business like his.

He has more than enough supporters to fill up those restaurants every night, while he may not be in the national news much longer the locals will remember this story for years to come and I am sure there are more than enough Democrats in the area to sustain his business. I am sure many Republicans will continue to eat there as well, the truth is that just because the rabid right is really loud does not mean they represent the typical Republican. The typical Republican may be your Grandma or the guy you sit next to at work, they may consistently vote the wrong way but they are not organizing any boycotts and they rarely participate in them.
