My post that a Republican friend deleted from his anti-Obama thread on Facebook....

So I'll call my GOP loving friend "Guy"
So "Guy" starts a thread about how flat Obama's speech was over the weekend etc blah blah blah.
I usually stay out of his little online rants.
He claims to be "independent" but is full of GOP-speak in a moderate and non offensive way.
Fine whatever.
I only chime in when one of his friends from where ever back home is for him posts the crazy lies and BS.
I will throw in a link to the truth and facts and back away.
So this one FB friend of his, a woman starts going off batshit crazy about how Obama's a commie, birther wing nut in the thread and not even making a very literate argument.
You know that crazy angry semi literate thing that happens when they "go off" online, right?
As the kids say "she was whack" well, they used to say it...
So Guy's other liberal friends are the ones going at this woman about her crap, not me.
I threw a link to correct the facts early and and backed away.
A foot and a half of online thread later the lady calls all the liberals posting "idiots" and a few other nasty names in keeping with her nasty comments.
Guy, who had stayed out it since his OP chimes in "hey, no need to call anyone names"
Finally I post something and say:
"It's always enlightening to step back, look around and see who else is on your side."
An hour later he had deleted the lady's "idiot" post and my "side" comment.
I guess I struck a nerve.
Oh well.
