Everything I saw or heard about 9/11 was horrible.

However, the one sight I cannot shake are the people falling to the ground. I still wake up on occasion with that fresh in my mind.

I kept hoping against all rational thought that they would fly.

is some man MSNBC interviewed that stated that the admin was warned this was going to happen. It was roughly a 1 minute phone interview with the guy and it wasn't mentioned again. The imagery of what happened on 9/11 is horrible but for some reason that interview and the media not following it up has always stuck with me.

It was early after the first or second plane hit.

I can't remember which TV station it was, but they were interviewing a police officer and he was stating that he witnessed 2-3 car bombs exploding near the WTC.

That was the only time I heard this. I remember being on the phone and explicitly stating this to a friend as we watched the horror unfold.

Haven't heard anything about it after that.

Strange???

are. And, amazingly "un-journalistic". Matt even argued that it was a small plane, despite people on
the ground calling and saying otherwise.

I know, they knew they had to be "calm" I suppose. But, it wasn't like, say Cronkite being calm, it was
amazingly weird, their reaction.

It was surreal. Matt and Katie were stunned, and they had to be relying on their producers to get them info. That was in short supply.
I think their reaction was amazing in some ways considering their families and friends had to be on their minds as they tried to produce coherent thoughts.
I don't fault anything they did. There are ways it might have been better, but on the fly, it was a decent job.
I think they were so calm to keep from being completely overboard. If they gave in too far on their emotions, I think they would have fallen apart and been useless.

on local tv was with a teenager who was walking by the WTC building when the first jet hit. The kids looked up to see 'debris' falling down and one said to the other, "That debris is wearing khakis; that debris is waving his arms."

I'm watching Rachel, but during the commercial I switched for a second to the History Channel and they're showing people on the ground saying, "Jumpers? There are jumpers?"

People in disbelief. Just horrific.
