I'm getting a new 2020 EpiPen to replace last year's (expiration date only one year after purchase). Damn thing cost about $300.00, but it's about time for a new one. The rest I'm saving for food and household items I will need in the future - don't think the Trump Virus will dissipate any for the next few weeks.

I have a friend who used to be a prostitute when she was younger. Decriminalization of prostitution would have helped her out immensely when she used to do that for a living, but that is a whole other topic.

Mine will go back into the economy, I guess you could say. That is if I even get my Freedom Check.

It is expensive as all hell, so the money will not go very far. I do have an IRA still. I'll hit that too if I must.
Property taxes are due soon too, I'll pay those if there is money left for them.
It really sucks when you simply cannot take the risk to go out and have had no offers of any help from any one at all.
I plan to call the Senior Resource Center to see what/if they can do to help two disabled elderly very high risk people.
I am not optimistic.

(22,270 posts)which will free them up for when I need to roll one to a 0% interest offer. I have saved a bunch of $ in interest since I started doing that. Here is the plan: wipe out balances moving from lowest one up; when those are done, attack the next one. Keep moving them to zero interest when they start charging interest again.
Most of my credit card balance consistst of dental bills (three root canals and crowns for the two of us in the last 4 years), prescription drugs, some vet bills, and car repair.
We have taken a few trips to see our daughter in Arizona but those charges are small and get paid off quickly.
Then there are property taxes and insurance which knock a hole in the checking account and inhibit payback. However, this year I had to start taking draws from my 401k plans and that covered the taxes with plenty left over.

(3,487 posts)Social Security will take a bunch because they claim that 3 years ago they paid me for 2 months of benefits THAT they "shouldn't have paid" me. Had to make a repayment deal with them...all I did was apply for SS when I was eligible, that's it...and now they say they want the first 2 months back, although "it's not your fault".
And it'll be gone.

(25,183 posts)buy your Epipens from Canadian online pharmacies. I just checked with one firm I've used in the recent past, Canadian Pharmacy World, and they cost half of what you quote. Shop around, you might find a better price.
Also, deal only with an online Canadian pharmacy that requires a scan or photo of a real prescription, that's how you know that you're dealing with something legit.

(25,183 posts)is just fine with online Canadian pharmacies, she gives me written prescriptions that I can shoot a picture of and email in. I recently established a relationship with her after moving to SC, and told her that my previous physician in NY was OK with it, too. The new doc said a lot of her patients tell her that they use Canadian supplied drugs.
Many doctors are in the pockets of Big Pharma, unfortunately. They hear bad things about Canadian pharmacies from drug reps at junkets in tropical locations paid for by the drug companies.

(4,461 posts)We live in an area (NWFL beach) that depends on tourism. Its a unique area, as we dont have big chain restaurants, so were going to order curbside service at our small local restaurants as much as were able. We did so last night, our curbside server was a woman whom were very friendly with from better times. When she brought out our food and adult drinks and the thingy to swipe our card, we asked her where we could add a tip. She tearfully explained that the tip was automatically added in..... however, most people didnt ask and didnt offer a tip.
