It was obvious to all that Trump has broken many laws, that he has horrible judgment, that he is temperamentally unfit to be President. But instead of taking the opportunity to impeach an unfit president, you weaseled out.
You will never be able to wash away the bloodstains resulting from your bad decisions.

(12,712 posts)It only takes some revisionism and repeated lies to wash away those sins today. Scrub, scrub.
Of course, when you have a large pack of people who are only consumers, (like cows that stand and chew their cud) and nothing more, you can tell them anything you want to and they are natural born marks and rubes who might not even know anything about history or how their government functions, but if Fox Noize says it, or some two-bit, conniving member of the GO-Pee does, then it just has to be the honest to God truth.
Now they deserve the results they get, but too bad that those of us who are immune to that game have to be afflicted by the "nothing but consumers". They could never manage to preserve and defend a democracy and probably don't even know what it is. Losers.

(16,113 posts)While Pence might not have acted like the same sort of jackass that Trump is, I doubt any decisions of substance would have been different.

(16,113 posts)shape than we are. I'm all for getting rid of Trump (and Pence, for that matter) but I'm not sure that would have mattered too much in this case.

(16,113 posts)Italy, for example, has about 30K fewer cases, for example, but 250 million fewer people. And if Trump tried to handle this the way they did in China, that never would have been acceptable, especially on the DU.
