I thought this was an effing parody account. I just blew a gasket. What a colossal POS.

“President Trump is a ratings hit. Since reviving the daily White House briefing Mr. Trump and his coronavirus updates have attracted an average audience of 8.5 million on cable news, roughly the viewership of the season finale of ‘The Bachelor.’ Numbers are continuing to rise..

Tragically, I don't see his sycophantic minions using the 24th and his minions in the Senate would vote down new articles.

BTW, millions is a worst case scenario. We need to know it, but projections assuming the continuation of strong social distancing measures and other protective measures are more in the 100,000 range (horrific enough -- compare to 58,000 reported deaths in Vietnam).

The point, that his obsession with "ratings" when Americans are dying in large numbers is an obvious sign of mental illness applies whether we are looking at 40,000 deaths or more than a million.

Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at University of Washington projects 80,373 (range 38,242 - 160,883 -- see "Total deaths" graph for the US. You can also view state specific projections).

Of course, things WOULD be far worse if DT got his wish and the nation were to go back to "business as usual" by Easter. (Per estimates in NY Times it would mean a difference between 14 million and 128 million infections. That's 9 x worse. For which we can assume total deaths would be AT LEAST 9 times more (about 360,000 to 1.4 million) and probably worse than that given degradation in care.

330,000,000 (US Population) x .4 (infection rate for those exposed is 40 to 70%) x .03 (3 % death rate) =
3,960,0000 dead

Good to see that Trump has his priorities in order. By the way, the next time Trump expresses sympathy for the victims will be the first time.
