(9,273 posts)Is going to turn it into condos. Its located in one of the hottest real estate areas in the city. That could very easily change now with all this.
My alma mater Temple University has stepped up and offered the use of the huge Liacouras Center for emergency hospital space if needed.

(17,636 posts)To take over the administration of the hospital. For heaven's sake, they are building hospitals in sporting arenas, that place should not be empty.
The Magistrate
(95,255 posts)He would not in any case, except perhaps to take over the condominium speculation.

What's with people wanting to live in a building where thousands of people had died?

(95,255 posts)In our neighborhood is a small hospital which after being closed some years ago was converted into condominiums. Odd amalgam of rationality and rank superstition that I am, it would never be possible for me to sleep easy in such a place. Years ago, I read a story by Mr. Blish, which postulated a future in which houses responded emotionally to those who dwelt in them, and set out what occurred when someone moved into a home in which a murder had been committed. I suspect the sheer weight of suffering would warp the very air of such a place, and compel a resident's contemplation of it, whether desired or no.
