Watching RMoney giving a Nahn Wun Wun Speech to the National Guard Conference on MSNBC

In RENO, Nevada...

First, the sound sucks--some Dem is standing on the microphone cord! Relentless buzzing!

Second, he's sound-biting to beat the band.

Third, the applause is "obligatory" not enthused. I think he's got "seeders" in the audience. No yelling or cheering, just polite patter-patter-patting. Even as he shovels the shit, (free money for everyone in uniform, damn near) he can't get the "deep throated roar" that Obama gets when he says "Great to see you."

He insults the President by questioning his decisions (on a day that was supposedly apolitical) to personnel in uniform, and calling the Commander in Chief "my opponent." Way to go, Mittsy, on Nahn-Wun-Wun. The fucker is tone deaf.

He's camel-kissing. He does this thing that makes him sound like Rafalca with peanut butter on his nose--a "snick" or a "tic" that is very irritating and would be a great point of reference for a debate drinking game if the crowd wanted to get drunk quick.

Now the MSNBC crew is analyzing--they broke away as the speech was AWFUL--and they're calling him an asshole, basically, with the exception of the GOP tool talking head.

Major fail.

Again.

WTF is WRONG with this guy, I have to wonder? He makes Dick Nixon and Poppy Bush look SUAVE. You'd think he'd learn from watching the mistakes of others.

All I can think is that he doesn't think he's made any mistakes. He thinks he's smooth. He thinks he's cool. He thinks he comes off as sophisticated and confident, when he actually looks like a frigging twit.

It's a bit of a hike from Mesopotamia to Kabul! Even if you are travelling by tank! And Iranian customs at not one, but two, borders...that might be a bit of a sticky wicket, what!

Knowing full well that this guy dodged the draft and spent his time in France while peers were in Vietnam, I don't see how anyone in the military could think he is a "leader" fit to be in the position to deploy Soldiers to war - especially not a war with Iran like he is advocating we do.

Could you imagine this guy wearing SSG rank and acting as a Squad Leader or wearing 1LT rank and acting as a Platoon Leader in combat, let alone acting as the leader of our Country in war? I just couldn't picture this guy (or George W.) slinging a rifle, 210 rounds, 4 grenades and body armor and going on a dismounted Infantry patrol in a combat zone. Yeah, I realize that mittens is old now, but while his peers were putting their lives on the line (either voluntarily or otherwise) in combat mittens didn't have the spine to face it. Now he wants us to hand over the reigns to the most powerful military the world has ever seen so that he can charge full steam ahead to a war with Iran. Yup, mittens, the guy who didn't have the courage to face combat in Vietnam is definitely the best candidate for the job

I wonder how many people were even in the hall--the applause was very muted.

It's no secret why people hold "conferences" in Vegas and Reno--and it's not to advance their knowledge or anything of that nature. It's to blow off steam, gamble, and network.

He used the Anniversary of 9/11 to attack Obama on potential cuts to the military that his own VP choice supported.

Seemed cold and distant, even while talking about BEING THERE that day. his emotions seemed to ramp up as he became enthused to mention the Ronald reagan Building he was headed off to. WTF. As if that had anything to do with his experience that day,
