Facebook has closed down at least two fan pages, and one account, citing the alleged "posting [of] multiple images which violate copyright laws."
The two pages were the popular "Boycott Limbaugh" page (with 18,000 LIKE's), and "Americans Against Mitt Romney".
Numerous previous attempts to use the DMCA to censor online political speech have failed.
One of the significant differences is the fact that Facebook, in deleting accounts and pages, is using a meat cleaver approach, rather than simply addressing the specific images that have been questioned. This leads some to suspect that Facebook may have some sort of political agenda.
I've created a diary about this incident on Daily Kos. Also please see comments about an earlier Limbaugh-related incident from the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and the original account of this current action at Addicting Info, which is here.

(10,618 posts)...to cater to a group of people which is largely technologically illiterate. Tech savvy liberals are possibly the only ones keeping Facebook afloat. If they piss off those people they've got nobody left.
