We're dealing with 'em ( said policies) in NYC. (We have a much more ... let's say... "compliant" union leadership, than does Chicago; at least for *now*) Or perhaps I should say "failing to deal w. 'em."
Heck... we're dealing w. 'em everywhere.
>>>Naturally, the anti-teacher, anti-union public and press have ignored the abuse of children by the people running the Chicago schools. Obama, Duncan and Emanuel all sent their kids to the top-notch schools where 43 in a class would be considered child abuse.
Obama is between a rock and a hard place. He cant support the teachers, not only because the Republicans will jump on him but because the teachers are striking against his own education policies. On the other hand he cant condemn them for the strike and turn off many teachers around the nation who not only vote but are activists in elections.>>>>

But then that was not the objective, the objective is being achieved, to Corporatize the Public System. I am so glad this is finally happening and I hope NCY is next.
