4. There were about 12500 swine flu deaths in the US (April 2009 to April 2010)

We've had at least 6000 COVID-19 deaths in the US so far, over 1000 of them from Wednesday morning to Thursday morning

There were about 220 deaths in a 24 hour period around 26 March

That suggests about 25%/day increase in daily fatalities or a doubling time of 3-4 days

At this rate, we could beat the swine flu totals by next week

Maybe Owens is just too proud an ideologue to be bother with facts and simple math. Or maybe maggots are eating her brain. Or maybe she's signed some rent-to-own agreement allowing Satan to possess her soul and use her mouth as a demonic megaphone. Whatever it is, I hope the poor woman can get the help she needs

...over the entire duration of the infection. We're essentially 2 months into this.
Even if(!) the death rate stays time linear, in 6 months it would still far exceed H1N1. And that's strictly a hypothetical "if".
