We are in good hands, my friends. Trump promised to appoint "the very best people" to positions of power and oversight - and it's hard to argue that given Jared's expertise in disease control and his educational background in medicine and science, he isn't the perfect person to head-up the national response to a disease that threatens to kill hundreds of thousands of American citizens within a matter of months.

Above all else, Jared IS fucking the "pResident's" daughter. and it's only right that his father-in-law give him a job in the family business - i.e. fucking the country instead.

Of course, I live in a deep blue part of a blue state where Douchebag Donny is utterly despised,. but people didn't listen to the bullshit and started to self quarantine before any of the recommendations by the governor went out. People were keeping their distance in the supermarket, cabbies were driving with their windows open, people were taking common sense precautions.

This is why I put my faith in democracy, not in "leaders" of any persuasion. Leaders are reactive. People can be proactive. People around here got the point long before our leaders did. The wisdom of crowds is a real thing if they're not drowning in bullshit from Pox News, talk radio, and Farcebook.

We the people are doing the right things and not taking the guidance issued by a hideously corrupt and venal government. Always trust the people. Given the right information, we'll average out to get it right.
