Have You Noticed How Non-athletic Republican Candidates Are as a Group?

Obama plays basketball, golf, swims and is physically fit as pictured him in his swim trunks.

Haven't yet seen Romney (and before him McCain) engaging in any sports or in a swim suit. Ann of course makes her horse do the work.

Even Clinton while he was chubby was seen in shorts jogging along trailing the secret service. Curious isn't it?

Some more examples of Ryan's budget math- from the Path to Prosperity (2012 Ryan budget passed by the House in 2011).

The portion of federal spending excluding Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare will plummet from the current 12.5% of GDP to 3.5% by 2050.

After tax cuts and the closing of unspecified loopholes, federal tax revenues will increase from the current 15.5% of GDP to 19%.

Unemployment will steadily drop to 2.8% by 2021.

I am not going to criticize them for that. Paul Ryan's marathon record isn't what he said it was, but he managed to complete it. A marathon would kill my pudgy ass.

There are so many things wrong with republicans that are far worse than being couch potatoes.

It makes me sad that someone would post this thread when I think about Mayor Washington.

Generalizations can be dangerous. Ryan is a devotee of P90-X, and dressage is also exercise for the rider.

There are dems who are also fans of the couch.

This is party independent.

How many artists are among the Republicans? How many math scholars? How many musicians? How many over-60's? How many poets? How many world class gamers?

I hate posts like this. They're divisive, meaningless and just plain piss me off.

Oh, and my favorite T-shirt says "I used to jog, but the ice kept falling out of my glass."

Definitely.

How many of the Freedom Riders in 1961 were athletes? Raoul Wallenberg's half-sister said he "detested competitive team sports." But what did she know? All these guys were just wimps; right?

but I think baseball should be added as another RNC sport. It clearly reflects the negatives of capitalism, where there are no salary caps and teams with high payrolls can essentially "buy" titles every year.
