(6,556 posts)It explains why I couldn't get coffee filters this week. First toilet paper, then paper towels, kleenix, napkins... and now coffee filters. Civilization is dying under tRump!

(23,247 posts)a guy in a stall discovered he was out of tRump paper, so he hollered to the next stall to see if that guy had any. Nope. "Got any newspaper?" "Nope."
Pause. "Got change for a twenty?"
In another month at the current rate, we won't be asking for change........

(8,069 posts)The last time they held the White House it took almost eight full years to trash the economy and reduce the nation to absolute chaos.
This time around they've managed it in less than four.
It's true what they say: practice makes perfect.

(2,955 posts)It's not like many foreign countries are doing much better. Have you looked at Spain and Italy? If somebody told me this was going to happen 3 months ago I'd give them all the credibility of a crazy homeless guy ranting on the street.

(4,973 posts)anyone listening to past executives in charge of infectious diseases would have told you 20 years ago this wasn't a matter of "IF" but "WHEN" - so we had protocols and resources in place to deal with this and the asshole in the white house has been dismantling it since he attained access to the white house. Fairness has been out the window for a long time.

We had the book.
We had the notes.
We should have studied for the test.
We could have had an "A+!"

"Fair" isn't in the playbook, starting yesterday, or a couple months ago, whichever comes first.

(2,430 posts)...that if we really thought Trump was trying to get the right people and resources together to address the Covid-19 pandemic, we'd applaud his efforts. But it's as if he is trying to screw things up even more, TRYING to make it harder to flatten the curve, focusing on profiteering and frustrating the efforts of his political rivals who are trying to save lives. Maybe it's true that Trump just doesn't know what to do, but I sincerely doubt anyone here believes he's doing what he can to make things better for the American people. He. Is. Not.

(12,816 posts)I know America has people who are the best at what they do, global experts who are trained to handle this crisis and a great many others -- so it's clear Trump has surrounded himself with exactly zero of them.
Another fucking Trump lie that SHOULD be obvious to the marks who believed his con.

(2,750 posts)Installed a bidet on every toilet in the house a few years ago. They are cheap, easy to install and pay for themselves over time. Probably more clean and easier on the home plumbing as well.
I am very curious what spurred this run on TP! Why TP and not oatmeal, or can food, rice or something else? Water perhaps? Our local grocier is pretty well stocked but the damn TP

I noticed rolls of paper towel are about double the width of pooper paper. (*)
A quick slice with an electric saw, 1 roll of paper towel = 2 rolls of pooper paper?
