1. That would be nice, but impossible for Trump.

He thinks that the country is an extension of himself. He says that criticizing him is not showing gratitude towards the government and all the workers who are trying to help. He thinks that he represents the country and the country represents him.

It is a part of narcissism.

Like you said, anyone with half a brain knew healthcare is complicated, we knew that a virus with a potentially exponential R factor would be bad. We understand that the need for masks will go up dramatically in the event of a pandemic outbreak. We know what viruses do. They are not armies. They are basically strands of RNA that are wired to replicate within a host and will do so until all hosts are used up and then they will die out.

2. The networks and cable news should stop carrying his pressers/rallies live.

They can surely take an hour to edit out the lies and misinformation, as well as the childish attacks on reporters. Right now he's moved the rallies , er, pressers, to prime time and lengthened them to 2 hours. He's starting to become Fidel Castro, who had never-ending speeches.

Trump will scream he's being censored by the liberal media and their licenses should be taken away. Fortunately, he doesn't have that power.

He'll also threaten to bring a lawsuit. Throw me into that briar patch -- think of all the discovery that could be done. It will make the Mueller report look like a Dick and Jane book.
