Trump Says No Contingency Plan for GOP's August Convention
President Donald Trump said there’s no contingency plan for the Republican National Convention, which is scheduled for Aug. 24-27 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Trump spoke Saturday at a White House press briefing. The president predicted the country would be in “good shape” by then as the impact of the coronavirus pandemic fades.
The Democratic National Committee this week postponed its national convention in Milwaukee to mid-August from mid-July, the largest political event to be rescheduled or cancelled so far.
