In the Face of a Peak in the Number of COVID-19 Deaths,

Donald J. Trump immediately turned to the "We have to open" line of talk. "We weren't designed for this," he said, as if any nation is designed to deal with a global pandemic. "Americans want to return to work," he claimed, ignoring the fact that we're all afraid of getting sick and dying.

Worst of all, he brought up Easter Services again. "I'd love to see big, beautiful Easter Worship services," he said.

Donald Trump fails to understand the scope of this pandemic completely. He thinks simultaneously about how many deaths there will be soon but, in the same breath, he adds a run-on sentence to the effect that we'll be opening business up very soon and getting back to normal. We will not. It is his fantasy.

Instead of reassuring the nation that everyone isn't going to die, he dismisses the death toll and promises a return to normal far sooner than his own experts say that will be possible. He has never - not even once - said anything about the vast, vast majority of people who will not die from COVID-19. He focuses only on death and dying.

Then, he holds out a false sense of hope for one possible drug treatment that has barely been tested in very limited trials and says, "I may take it myself." The reality is that he probably is already taking it, while only the deathly ill are being given it in limited trials. He says that everyone in the White House and all of his advisers have been given the new fast virus test that is just starting to become available in some limited areas in the United States. He has diverted this valuable test for his own use in his fear of contamination and illness. There is no shortage of such things in the White House, so he's not that concerned about the rest of us.

Donald Trump does not care about the welfare of "The American People." Not one whit. He cares only about the money that is being lost and the value being lost in his own holdings.

"We must open," he says, because he cannot service his own loans. He doesn't care about you or anyone else - only about himself and, maybe, his own family.

He wants everyone to go back to work so he doesn't lose any more money, himself.

That is our President, folks. That is his true character.

He wants sports to reopen. What, he thinks the people running those multi billion dollar businesses don't? They need encouragement to get back to business?
Then, all 4 commissioners released statement saying they'd resume when the experts told them it was safe.
So the phone conference was a waste of everybody's time, and they didn't listen to a word he said.

How could he not know Silver, Goodell, Bettman, & Manfred ? I even know Monahan from golf without even searching the synapses.
He just met with a group of high profile, names in the news people, & needed to read them?

He's a psychopath. They thrive on chaos and pain. He's loving all the death and destruction. It makes him feel powerful. He's treading a fine line between creating mass destruction and seeming "presidential" don't let him fool you.
