...Donald Trump is a fool and everyone knows it. He has said some sentences that will be repeated over and over again as proof of that stupidity. Perhaps 4 months ago, Trump had a chance to win. Now, Trump has no chance of winning. Donald Trump has offended the U.S.A. and the world with his incompetence. That incompetence and stupidity have killed thousands of our fellow citizens. Many more will die.
...But in November Trump will lose. He has opened his mouth and said things that have offended almost everyone. 60% will vote against Donald Trump, and vote for our candidate.. Could be a lot more. We will win and Trump will be gone in January.

(38,434 posts)to keep his mouth shut. Wait till he tweets or talks. Consider carefully what needs to be said, and when it needs to be said. I think that Trump believed he knew it all. But he didn't know when to just shut up.

(16,927 posts)Well, there's that and the fact that he's an incompetent horse's ass!

(38,434 posts)Wonderful link, and Trump proves his stupidity in just 3 minutes. Please everybody take a look at the above link, and pass it on... Thank You...And 3 minutes is short amount of time to prove to all that Trump is soooooooo

(38,434 posts)..Because of the last 2 - 3 months, Trump has insured that he will lose. And, the Republican party will take a loss the likes of which it has not seen in a long time. The dislike and hatred of Trump and what he has done as president have insured that. All he needed to do was listen to his family & friends and be very careful of what he says. It seems clear that he did not follow that advise.

(65,403 posts)vote as though we're 20 points behind, because we need a huge landslide to overcome their cheating.
Frankly, I've always believed that Obama won by much more than we know, and that several close seats in the House & Senate & in state offices were actually ours, but stolen by cheating Republicans.

(37 posts)They will cheat like never before and will not give up power. Unless Dems adopt some of the same tactics we will continue to lose. Rethugs will never allow mail in ballots, they will close minority polling places, throw out absentee ballots, provide misinformation, except help from Russia and change machine votes to remain in power. Don't think for one minute that this will be easy. They will do whatever is necessary to stay in power!

(16,927 posts)but out of all of the chaos I HAVE to believe that there were way too many that stayed home in 2016, figuring it was a "no contest" and "why bother - who would ever vote for that idiot."
Well, now we know.
I do not believe that will happen again. I think they'll come back to vote for the Democrat (vote blue, no matter who!)
And also, I have to believe that too many have been burned by so many of his actions regarding issues that would reach so many (immigration, locking up kids, environmental changes for the worse, tariffs that hurt our own citizens [yeah, YOU, FARMERS!] (and I'm sure I'm leaving out SO many more) that there will be a huge swing away from "undecided" to vote against IQ45.
At least that's what I have to keep me somewhat sane these days!
But, man, we really must GET OUT THE VOTE!!!!!!

(13,058 posts)predictions for now. We don't know what the world will look like in November. What effect will the pandemic have on the November election? If the pandemic results in large numbers of people not being able to vote what effect will that have? As a rule of thumb low voter turnout usually benefits Republicans. If a significant portion of the Democratic base is unable to vote that could mean big trouble in the election. Whether or not that happens I don't know but I am concerned. I don't think that now is the time for any feel good predictions for a Democratic landslide in November.
Polybius
(15,428 posts)He's going to get at least 45% of the vote no matter what he does. The good news is that 3rd Parties are virtually nonexistent this year, so he will need at minimum 49%, and I don't see him getting that much.
A win is a win though, and it's looking good for us.

(16,927 posts)after all that he has done, that he could possibly get over 10% of the votes!

(17,863 posts)It is Wisconsin, Michigan (which I think has moved into our column), and Pennsylvania. Perhaps Florida, Arizona, and Georgia will be in play as well, but I don't see flipping another state while still losing Wisconsin.
Polybius
(15,428 posts)45% of the country is insane. What I didn't know is that 47.5% is nuts.
Polybius
(15,428 posts)Were you just staying positive, or did you genuinely believe Biden would win by 20 points? Had you been right, I would have immediately been here and tipped my hat to you.

(17,863 posts)There are still lots of tricks to be played. The Libertarian got 3% in Wisconsin while Stein got 1%. You think Biden will get very many of Johnson's voters?
I still think it is a coin toss in November. Also don't discount the change for a white knight Republican candidate without Trump's baggage (for example Trump is sidelined by a "health" crisis and lots of cash).
D_Master81
(1,822 posts)Obama at best only got like 55% of the vote. I see no way Biden gets 60-70% unfortunately.

(23,247 posts)or pundits, or neighbors' predictions. We have to WORK as if Dems are BEHIND by twenty points! Take NOTHING for granted! WORK to get out every sympathetic voter we can drag to the voting booth. Or guide their hands to fill out mail-in ballots, lick the envelopes and put 'em in the mail. NO REST for Team Dems between now and November 3!
I want a landslide of Johnson/Goldwater proportions that will BURY tRUMPski and the GOPee for the next half-century! Or, better yet, PERMANENTLY!!

(18,663 posts)yesterday.
These cocksure proclamations take me back to the heady days of 2016 when everyone could see the coming wave that would sweep the Democrats into every seat of power and the Republicans into the dustbin of history once and for all. That year we were just able to high five each other and pop champagne all summer since the Republicans foolishly selected a candidate that we could take down with a "ham sandwich." All we had to do was sit back comfortably and wait for the vote totals to come pouring in.
There was no need to aggressively support our candidate and any polls or news that indicated anything less than an overwhelming victory could be dismissed. Those blips were obviously coming from trolls, foreign agents or the media trying to remain relevant and give the impression that the election would be close.
He had no chance of winning.

(328 posts)Only 4 years of Democratic rule before back to the repubs. Took 12 years to get them out again. One term of party rule is pretty disgraceful.
P.S. Love to Jimmy Carter, always. Big mistake for our country losing his leadership.

(12,816 posts)They have enabled him, coddled him, and protected him at all costs, including at the cost of common sense, global influence, and the lives and welfare of millions of Americans. The entire coterie of ass-kissing sycophants must be thoroughly defeated, and the Republican agenda, policies, priorities, and obviously rotten values must be thoroughly repudiated at the ballot box at local, state, and Federal levels, well beyond what could ever be explained away as anything other than an honest-to-God landslide of truly epic proportions. Republicans have already de-legitimized themselves, so America must make it obvious by kicking them to the curb and relegating them to the wilderness for 40 years (a Biblical measure; longer would be better).
