Where the fuck is Koch Industries in all of this? They make Brawny, Angel Soft, Mardi Gras, Quilted

Northern, Dixie, Sparkle, and other PAPER PRODUCTS and make $billions.

How much of a stretch could it possibly be for them to MAKE PROPER PAPER MASKS for Americans to use for their own personal safety?

Isn't the name "KOCH" supposed to be synonymous with rock-ribbed, All American He-Man patriotism?

They should be doing this RIGHT NOW, with no need for any kind of order from the War-Time Orange Anal Wart.

Latest “Lux Leaks” files obtained by ICIJ disclose secret tax structures sought by “Big 4” accounting giants for brand name international companies

A new leak of confidential documents expands the list of big companies seeking secret tax deals in Luxembourg, exposing tax-saving maneuvers by American entertainment icon The Walt Disney Co., politically controversial Koch Industries Inc. and 33 other companies.

Disney and Koch Industries, a U.S.-based energy and chemical conglomerate, both created tangles of interlocking corporations in Luxembourg that may have helped them slash the taxes they pay in the U.S. and Europe, according to the documents obtained by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists.

They pay less than 0.75% income tax and then petition for a tax amnesty to repatriate for 5%.

12. Here's what's in 3M N95 respirators.

Other manufacturers use about the same stuff because of the properties of the materials used.

https://multimedia.3m.com/mws/media/1425070O/3m-particulate-respirator-8210-n95-technical-specifications.pdf

Material Composition
• Straps – Thermoplastic Elastomer
• Nose Clip – Aluminum
• Nose foam - Polyurethane
• Filter – Polypropylene
• Shell – Polyester
• Coverweb - Polyester
• This respirator contains no components made from natural rubber latex
• Approximate weight of product: 0.35 oz.

Notice that there's a complete absence of anything made with paper or wood pulp.

It's elastic or something that we'd call "plastic".

They could make paper masks, but they'd need different equipment and either copy somebody else's or they'd need to design and test them before they could make any claim at all except maybe "dust". (Those you can still get without too much pain.) Sort of like having a chef show up with his pots, pans, and knives because she was making the main course for a group of 30 and tell her, "Okay, so it's a BBQ and I only really need you for the desserts. Two options are lime sorbet and can you make ice cream with gingersnaps instead of oreos? And cannoli, my wife loves cannoli. Thanks. "

This is a paper making machine. It has many buttons on the control panel. It does not have one that, when pressed, will cause it to make masks.

Even if they threw everything at it, maybe 6 months minimum. That family isn't the type to throw everything at something to help humanity, unless there is a profit.

Better to put you hope in Bill Gates, who IS sweating out to test as many people as possible and has had efforts underway since January.

But trying to shame the Kochs into changing their money making manufacturing will likely insure they won't make anything unless piles of money are thrown at them, they are more likely to invest in casket making companies because of a sure profit.

Better to support rich people who are already giving money against the virus, Alibaba's Ma for masks and Bill Gates for tests, a cure and a vaccine.

Those machines are custom made, and it takes months to get them. And once you have it, you've got to have a supply of the right kind of paper to run on it. Which means they'd need ANOTHER new machine because Koch Industries doesn't make it, and space in their factory (or a new building for the new product line) to put it. And then they'd need to do a lot of paperwork to get the new products certified for medical use. They'd be ready for the next pandemic Trump decided to ignore until it was too late, but we're all thinking and praying that Trump better be out of office and in the hoosegow before that happens.

Something else you should consider: Georgia-Pacific (Koch's paper products company) can't meet the demand for the products they already make, and that's with them running every converting line they have 24/7.
