This is ridiculous; price gouging

You can buy a 12 pack of Maruchan Ramen Noodle Soup, Chicken Flavor, 3 oz packages at Walmart for about $3.
But they are always out of stock now.

You can but it online (a 12 pack of Maruchan Ramen Noodle Soup, Chicken Flavor, 3 oz packages) for $29.77 + 2.99 tax + 8.15 shipping = $40.91

Try buying a minimal (and I mean minimal) set of weights - 400-500% more expensive.

So much for all of us coming together during a tragedy (which I was already dubious that we would anyhow, regardless of all of the hashtags and memes telling me that we are).

(there's been some interesting studies)
Markets, not so much. Economics class almost never has a chapter on altruism (and perhaps shouldn't?). And if you've had a couple of generations preaching (and being taught) free markets .. and leading lights listing Ayn Rand as favorite reading ...

But .. don't forget that every war (even the "great" ones) had it's profiteers .. and also it's humanitarian heroes. They're both still with us.

where people are selling to people, it's not so much companies - in fact the only deals that I've found that were almost reasonable have been buying direct from a business. Things are still marked up, but not nearly as much as items being sold by people that have something that another person wants.

Why are we buying Ramen noodles (and not even the good kind) on the internet?

it will trigger an angry response about it.

Also the stores are out because it’s a cheap shelf stable food.

And ramen is delicious.

1) OP has already stated that he/she is going to the store
2) going for groceries is not socially condemned behavior
3) I'll agree that ramen is cheap and stable shelf item .. and hold my opinion of delicious.

and I still think hunting for Ramen on the internet is .. kinda' humorous? C'mon now!
