I don't know what to say. I just watched the anti-Islam film trailer on YouTube

It's beneath contempt. It's ludicrously terrible. The "actors" are by far the worst I've ever seen. Ever. It's sexualized in the sickest way possible. If English is your native language and you're very familiar with western culture, this dog turd might appear laughable at first glance, but it's so insulting, so deeply vile and hateful, I can actually understand the outrage it's provoking. THAT DOES NOT MEAN I'M CONDONING THE VIOLENT RESPONSE.

I'm not going to link. I don't advise even watching the disgusting trailer, though I'm not sorry I did. It's valuable to know what assholes are doing. It's designed to provoke violence.

I'm not a free speech absolutist- though I'm pretty hardline, and I guess I don't see any legal avenues to block this particular piece of hate speech, but man, if anything happens to the producer, who's now in hiding, my only regret will be the escalation of this whole sorry, sordid affair, and not for the piece of dog shit man who produced it.

Oh, and more thing: Reportedly this trash cost 5 million bucks. It looks like it cost 50.

Check out this WaPo report (excerpt is from 2nd page of story):

Protesters condemned a video clip that depicted the Prophet Muhammad in a series of humiliating scenes. A controversial Cairo television host, Sheikh Khaled Abdallah, aired clips from the video on an Islamic-focused television station on Saturday, and the same video clips were posted to YouTube on Monday.

Organizers at the embassy protest told the Associated Press that they’d begun planning the protest last week when a controversial Egyptian Christian activist who lives in the United States, Morris Sadek, started promoting Bacile’s film.

I just woke and heard the news about the violence overseas and the death of the US ambassador. I wish that the people that made this despicable film could be held responsible for this horrific act of violence. But the right wing pastor will use freedom of speech and get away with. I heard that this pastor is in hiding. Go figure, a hypocrite would hide and not face it up front. Now Romney and his right wing cronies are attacking the President for something that was done on the computer. I won't give those who put this movie together and say a prayer for the safety of all who are not directly involved.

Easy to make crap like that video but its a bit harder for the grownups to actually deal with the consequences. My best wishes are with the State Department as they clean up yet another mess on the carpet of the world created by our local idiots.

Continuing, that's why Republicans DO NOT DESERVE to hold high office in this country. They are really good at creating rhetorical shitstorms and pissing off people they disagree with, and incredibly inept at the actual work of governing and diplomacy.

The governments of Libya and Egypt have been placed in a predicament. They can't defend the film any more than Obama can. They can't defend the attackers because it is a terrible crime. This will have to be worked out with very carefully worded apologies from the Libyan and Egyptian governments, apologies that don't end in the toppling of any government including our own.

The film-makers are either irresponsible or politically motivated -- maybe a combination of both. Still they have a First Amendment right to film what they want. YouTube does not have to allow access to it.

Except these jackasses got one Ambassador. We can take out entire wedding parties.

There's plenty of blame to go around. The film was created with the clear hopes that it would get, if not this exact result, something close enough to it. it's five million dollars spent in the hopes of getting some "MUSLIMS ARE SAVAGES!!!!!!" video for you to sit back and wank off to when you turn on Fox and Friends this morning.

30. What is the matter with me?
Wed Sep 12, 2012, 07:53 AM
Sep 2012

I was half way through watching it before I realized that is was even produced using the English language. The diction of the "actors" was so poor that it made me think that they were all trying to speak with large quantities of food in their mouths so as to make it impossible for me to tell what language they were speaking in (kind of like listening to Arnie Swartz on ludes).

Then, as far as the action was concerned, it was not possible for me to tell what was going on, due to the scenes being so short, as well as having been cut away before they were completed.

I don't understand what there was in the trailer for anyone to be so offended by. But then, perhaps my being agnostic (or just non Islamic) might have something to do with it. But then I would say that they have awfully thin skins.

what I find striking is that how quickly this has video spread, generally when you post a youtube video, it does not spread
around the world until it reaches 100,000 plus views, the video was posted on July 2 by the perpetrator himself, looking
at the statistics of the video and where it has been viewed, I find it very suspect in that it has created this much outrage
in such a short time.

My point is this is an orchestrated event put up by perpetrators of this administration and those that wants a puppet in the
White House.
