When asked about the status of this summer's Republican National Convention, Trump said there is "no contingency plan" and took the opportunity to mock both former GOP candidate Bill Weld and Democratic candidate Joe Biden #CoronavirusUSA

Now it's 7 more:

Breaking: Trump is firing 7 IGs in one fail swoop, sources confirm to @RealClearNews
. Most likely will be the IGs that were appointed by Pres. Obama or beforehand. He wants his own people in those positions now. Trump during his briefing said he has "put in 7 names" for IGs.

He's really sliding to fascism as fast as he can. I guess he senses time is running out.

We are sliding so, so close to Autocracy. 2020 could be our last chance to stop and reverse this slide.

Do what you have to do to vote this disgusting human and many of his enablers out of Office.

Damaging documents tRump wants hidden and that shows tRump screwing Republicans too. Better yet, showing tRump skull fucking the U.S.A. and punching Lady Liberty.

If COVID-19 forces many to work at home, then what a perfect excuse on how mishaps could happen. Since he appointed bozos to run things, it shouldn't be too hard. And never forget, it is only a matter of SHORT time for all Government workers, until they too are terminated by tRump.

Whip the tRump/Republican base into a piranha frenzy hopped up on speed and Red Bull by short circuiting them into turning on their masters.

One fell swoop
To do something in one fell swoop is to do it suddenly or in a single, swift action. Fell here is an adjective meaning fierce, savage, cruel, or ruthless.1 This sense of fell is otherwise archaic, preserved mainly in this idiom. The swoop in one fell swoop is a noun referring to (1) a blow or stroke or (2), metaphorically, a bird’s sudden, sweeping descent from a height.

It's hard to believe a president has the ability to stack the deck by firing IGs at will and appointing his stooges. Certainly a pres would be able to give the directive "make waves and you're fired".

Isn't congress involved?

Maybe they should report to Congress since the DOJ under Barr has shown us that the DOJ can be corrupted by a presidential appointee. If reporting to Congress, it should take a majority vote of both houses to remove for proven illegal actions, not for just acting against a president’s wishes. The Office of Inspector General was established by Congress in 1976. It should be up to Congress to change the reporting structure and independence of people occupying the role.

"Intelligence report warned of coronavirus crisis as early as November: Sources

Source: ABC News

"Analysts concluded it could be a cataclysmic event," a source says.

By Josh Margolin and James Gordon Meek

April 8, 2020, 4:01 AM

As far back as late November, U.S. intelligence officials were warning that a contagion was sweeping through China’s Wuhan region, changing the patterns of life and business and posing a threat to the population, according to four sources briefed on the secret reporting.

Concerns about what is now known to be the novel coronavirus pandemic were detailed in a November intelligence report by the military's National Center for Medical Intelligence (NCMI), according to two officials familiar with the document’s contents.

in deep kimchi with this fascist wannabe dictator. Trump has no compassion, no conscience. He is an evil con man and his grifter family is no better. The outmoded/outdated Electoral College vote system did this to us, not the 66million trump votes, they were by and large just confused idiots looking for what they got. HRC got 4million more votes than this current POTUS.

He is cleaning house of ALL who oppose him. It is straight out the fascist's handbook. Did you know he used to keep a copy of Mein Kampf on his night table stand? Wonder if it's still there? Wonder if he still makes his good night call to his brolove, Putin begging him not to release the tapes?

November shall be a true testing time for this experiment in democracy as a system of governance.
