Romney Attacks Obama Over His Statement On Egypt and Libya Before He EVEN MAKES A STATEMENT

Romney Attacks Obama Over His Statement On Egypt and Libya Before He EVEN MAKES A STATEMENT

by Verbalpaintball

If it wasn't disgraceful enough that Romney decided to get political on 9/11, despite the promise from the campaign that this ONE DAY was off limits, take a look at the latest salvo from the Romney camp later in the evening as the Egypt and Libya events were still in their infancy:

From HP:

The campaign of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney called the Obama administration's handling of a violent and contentious day at two American facilities in the Middle East "disgraceful" in a statement released late Tuesday night.

The campaign had initially planned to hold the statement until after midnight -- and the end of the eleventh anniversary of September 11th -- but lifted the embargo an hour and a half early as the controversy flared over a series of attacks against the U.S. Embassy in Cairo and the American Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

What's worse is they were so eager to release a statement - any statement it appears - that they did it before one of our diplomats was killed and the White House had even MADE any statement on the events.

...The statement criticized by the Romney campaign came early in the day, before the attacks on the two embassies, and was put out not by the White House, but by the Cairo embassy itself.

Do these people have no shame? Their entire campaign is built on whining about the democrats with nothing substantial to back it up. The transparency of Romney's politics here, in the face of a fluid event, reinforces the lack of understanding about anything regarding foreign policy, a ham-handedness in commenting that continues to prove how amateurish he is (and unfit to lead this country overseas), and further evidence that it's really only ever about him.

Great going, Romney. You really nailed this one.

He is doing this on purpose.

Now that the Republicans have created a "liberal media" fantasy environment, they are going to say whatever they please. Get into the news first so it is reported on (and never questioned), and do whatever cleanup they need to do later.

Romney is attempting to create the 'reality' that Obama is sympathetic to terrorists; those of us in the reality based community have to fight against this sort of bullshit

was an official Obama statement. It was a freakin' TWEET! I guess I don't tweets as seriously as some people.

Maybe we should nab the guy that made that film and drop him off in downtown Cairo? Give them that wackjob preacher that burns Koran's too.
