Woman in Canada applied for the COVID-19 benefit on Tuesday, 1st payment came 2 days later

My daughter lives in Canada and applied for the COVID-19 benefit on Tuesday. It took two minutes to apply. The first payment showed up today - two days later. This is government working for the people.

Why can't the US (the richest nation in the world) operate as efficiently as Canada.

speed things up -- add more backend computer servers, faster internet lines, etc.

And in California also.
