They work with both food providers (manufacturers, distributors, retailers, food service companies and farmers) to identify healthy food sources, and with food pantry and State agencies to distribute food supplies and bring awareness of food deprivation as a policy issue.

(7,506 posts)they would double gift our donations. Feeding America was one. After doing a little research I found they run the food distribution center that feeds my local food bank. We have supported them in the past. My company whom I started with in 1974 has never double matched anything. any time a worthy charity gets a double match I will try. I gave and my gift will be tripled.

(619 posts)Charity Navigator or Charity Watch? Charity Navigator is a great source for rating charities, but only checks up on ones with at least 1$million. Feeding America is highly rated (as is Clinton Foundation by the way).

(25,981 posts)The money really goes to feeding people, not filling administrative pockets. As Beatlelvr suggests, you can check with Charity Navigator to gauge a charity's accountability, etc:
