When he has a meltdown like he did today, I have no doubts it's because someone in his administration has pissed him off. He absolutely hates being confronted with the truth. Especially from those he expects to bow down to him.

are theatrics. He's playing to his base and they love this sort of shit. Meanwhile, he doesn't have his rallies, so he is using his press briefing as a substitute. I'm not saying all the meltdowns are intentional, but some of them appear to be - gotta get those ratings and nothing boosts the ratings like temper tantrums.

No doubt, he feels like he was victorious.

Having read about his behind the scenes explosive temper tantrums, the crap he's pulling during these press briefings are pretty mild and probably are reminiscent of his Apprentice performances.

While yes, there are codependent groupies who will swoon when when he whips out the Presidential Sharpie, there is nothing rational about it and it is a primal danger to all of us which nobody can really control. Some opportunistic people think they are controlling it, but like many before they will find out they aren't.

He's not that good of an actor. If he was acting any of this he would have won a dozen Emmys while he had a TV show. He is an out of control idiot with the mind of a 12 year old child. Don't over-think it.

Apologies to 12 year old children everywhere.

and that's why I believe some of his presser meltdowns are for the camera. He is doing the sort of thing he did on The Apprentice. Most people know that was fake, but his followers think its real. I think he did get a bit flustered today, because the journalist challenged him, but in every briefing, he looks for an opportunity to put someone down so he can cry, "Fake news, fake news". That's what his base wants to hear. He is using prime time for free campaigning.

Acosta's been on the side of the angels about Trump for quite a while, but many of his media colleagues keep embarrassing themselves by swooning about Trump whenever he doesn't act like a total madman: "The Pivot! Today is the day Donald Trump became the President of these here United States! Huzzah, huzzah!"

We really need to get more of the media folks saying this about Trump, again and again, and not folding like a cheap lawn chair the next day.
