Who Thinks Trump Even Knows This Isn't Going All That Good For Him Or Us For That Matter

I am sure most here know of the problems he had at his televised Covid-19 Campaign Rally today.

Everyone with a working brain knows Trump really screwed up when it comes to preparing for the pandemic, and he is taking heat from all sides for his incompetence. Not to mention all the dead guys.

I wonder if he even knows it isn't going well, or is he so busy planning his media barrage he thinks it will all be just fine like always. He knows Mitch will protect him no matter what anyway.

Nothing we can do to him also.

Is he even worried?

2. I think tRump is a legend in his own mind
Tue Apr 14, 2020, 02:35 AM

He feeds on attention and plays off criticism. It's a game to him. Even reporters who stand up to him charges his battery. He gets off on calling people fake and nasty. There is no doubt in his mind he is the greatest and the best and he believes, as king, he is perfectly situated to crush his enemies.

The world hasn't faced anyone like this in modern times, at least not one with this much power. What would depress and frustrate a normal person makes him feel like he is king of the mountain.

So, to answer your question: no, he isn't worried.

been re-elected in a severe economic downturn. And then there are all the deaths.

He should be worried as hell.

3. Sure he's worried

That's why he threw so many Americans under the coronavirus bus.

About the only thing he had going for him was treading water with Obama's economy.
He made a stupid attempt to keep that going rather than protecting Americans.

A lot more Americans are going to die from this virus than any other country.
He can't pass that off as "fake news" and he can't blame anyone else - especially after his claim yesterday that he's the only guy in control.

Vietnam war. Iraq war. Whenever American bodies start piling up, public opinion shifts.

Today, he was bad. As more Americans react negatively to the climbing death toll, he's going to get worse. FOX News, Drudge Report, Rasmussen are all turning on him. Soon it will be every man for himself. He'll eventually shut down the press conferences because he can't prevail over the constant bad news - even as the death rate subsides.

I am not sure if it is sinking in, but methinks it has to be sinking in.

He is losing.

Badly.

Losing it.

While the bodies pile up.

The media isn't really taking the open the country to more mass death headfake.

7. After 40 countries banned China, he bans China and claims
Tue Apr 14, 2020, 03:16 AM
Apr 2020

he was early ....

But then what happened?

If he was all over it early, why the colossal tally of dead Americans?

Refrigerator trucks full of dead virus victims can't be pawned off as a "hoax" or "fake news"

The disparity is going to continue to increase and become more and more obvious.

China is four times the population of the US with 3,000+ dead.
US is a quarter the population of China with 60,000+ anticipated dead.

Someone really fucked up. Many will increasingly conclude Trump.
And it will have taken out the only thing he had to cling to: Obama's economy.

15. Agree with all except we need to be careful using China's dead as a metric
Tue Apr 14, 2020, 11:01 AM

for comparison. There are credible reports that China undercounted their dead; reports are that more than 30K urns were purchased by cremation centers in China.

17. I have some concerns with the accuracy of China's numbers BUT
Tue Apr 14, 2020, 11:27 AM
Apr 2020

If 60,000 Americans die, proportionately, more than four times that many Chinese should be dead to be an 'equivalent performance' (please excuse the term talking about dead people) with the US - that's more than 253,000 urns ... and that ignores China got hit first while the US had roughly two months or many weeks to prepare that China did not get.

Canada is about 10% of the population of the US yet they only have 2.1% of the deaths instead of 10% of US deaths.

US is about 40th per capita in testing.

There are lots of hard numbers that expose what a poor job Trump did and give us some sense of the number of US lives lost because of him.

6. I think he knows
Tue Apr 14, 2020, 02:50 AM
Apr 2020

I think he follows the numbers. Polls, TV ratings, any metric he can get his hands on. That’s why he’s so fixated on things like the stock market. That’s the lens he sees this through as he is devoid of empathy.

I think he sees polls like the one in Michigan that has Biden +9 and the one in Utah of all places that shows him only +5 over Biden and it eats at him.

We can look at those polls, enjoy them for a moment and then realize it’s back to work on making sure he’s gone in November. They’re just polls: But I think he obsesses over these things. The CNN poll released last week showing Biden +12 over him nationally is in part driving his very intense vitriol toward that network in recent briefings in my view.

The economy is tanking hard.

People are dying.

We are an international laughing stock.

So, yes, I think he knows he’s in trouble bigly and the walls are closing in as the bodies pile up.

9. He's worried about re-election.
Tue Apr 14, 2020, 03:33 AM
Apr 2020

Nothing else.

He's lost both of his campaign talking points, i.e. a booming economy and low unemployment - and he has absolutely nothing to replace them with. His only prayer of being re-elected is if everyone goes back to work and the economy recovers - things he actually believes he can make happen just as soon as everyone gets off his back about this coronavirus nuisance.

Of course, the man is delusional about those unemployment numbers changing any time soon, or the economy getting back to "booming" in time to save his sorry ass in November. But no worries - he's surrounded by ass-kissers who are no doubt feeding that fantasy on a daily basis.

12. trumps now showing us how desperate he is,
Tue Apr 14, 2020, 05:35 AM
Apr 2020

Seeing all chances disappear for him from his and the GOP's complete failures with their response. He knows he's in deep , deep trouble, and his lying is getting more frequent and outrageous now., claiming he's king now. By projecting he has absolute power he's telling all Republicans they have no power over him now , and judges don't either. Watch as he ignores judges rulings soon . Is this also about his taxes being exposed soon if the Supreme's rule they have to be shown? Will it show many crimes with putin's involvement? He is also desperate to prevent that because he knows what it'll prove, he's a treasonous traitor to this country, and a pawn for putin . All while his failures with this virus make me suspicious his refusals to act on it was intentional , for putin? I think we will find that out eventually.
