Whats the deal with Mike Pence?

He truly is the biggest kiss-ass politician I've ever seen.

But does he truly adore and respect Trump?

Is he just playing a game?

Is he afraid of being fired like everyone else?

Does he think that by enabling Trump he will facilitate the ultimate self-implosion/breakdown?

He is so predictable. No real emotions of any kind. Its like he's an android or something.

laugh at Dan Quayle--- and he was funny. But, he was a decent guy, well educated- with a well educated wife. Yes, he was goofy and had some of the best quotes in history ("...my fellow astronauts" being my personal favorite)- and I sure as hell disagreed with him politically and philosophically. But, there was a measure of respect there.

Like Senator Grassley in tears about Ted Kennedy ("Who will I argue with now?" ) and Hillary Clinton and Strom Thurmond's friendship, there was a basic level of human respect.

I have none- zero-- less than none--- for the Trump family, their associates, and their constituents.

After Nancy Pelosi ripped up Trump's speech at the conclusion of his "so-called" State of the Union address, Pence went on Fox News the next morning to express his poutrage and said "I thought she was ripping up The Constitution." What a jackass. Who says a lie like that? An Asshole, that's who!

Pence is perfectly fine with drafting and delivering lies to the American people DAILY without REMORSE.

The reason: Pence knows he's a fraud. That's why he works very hard to have every hair in place and the plastic smile and christian platitudes at the ready. But the "wholesome" is a schtick to cover for incompetence and sins that have yet to be uncovered (maybe Trump knows). The only thing keeping Pence's cover from being blown is a bigger fraud like Trump.

this is his last political job. Might be his last job, period. When Trump picked him to be Vice Presidump, he was busy losing his job as governor, with not prospects in sight. Even Indiana was done with him.

He's watching Trump go down in flames, and he knows he's going too.

He's a loser playing a losing game.

-which fits with his religious fundamentalism. It's not just the relentless ass-kissing that's disturbing; it's that he looks at His Lardship with adoration in his eyes. I think he's one of those people who are attracted to people they perceive as strong (just as Trump himself adores autocrats with even more power, like Putin and Kim). In Pence's case the adoration is probably a religious thing as well because the fundies think Trump was sent by God to save America.
