Over the past few months the American people have witnessed Trump murder thousands of Americans. Instead of a national call for Trumps resignation, we are having a national debate on reopening the country. Reopening the country? I don't even know what the fuck that means. Go to work and hope you survive? That's like Russian roulette. I will go back to work when I say it's time to go back to work.The worst phrase any politician can use right now is open up the country. Millions of Americans will take that literally and stop protecting themselves like they should and will have to for many months.
It looks like Trump is putting together a task force of billionaires to decide how we will reopen the country. If that doesn't scare the hell out of you, nothing will.
We are still not protecting the workers who are working now. Doctors and nurses still lack protective gear. Grocery store workers are not being issued masks. This is a massive failure of national leadership that we are paying a great price for. It's going to get worse because Trump will make it worse.
