My sister claims her place of work (nursing home) won't let her use her phone.

My sister. who has a reputation for making shit up, claims the nursing home she works at, will not let her use her cell phone.

BULLSHIT.

It's been 3 weeks since she talked to me, she will, however, call my Mom.

I had a long talk with Mom, and flat out told her that's it.
I won't talk to my sister again.

I'm fed up with her lies.

She doesn't owe me any money, and I don't need her help with anything.

Or maybe it doesn't matter. Sounds like your sister isn't someone you want in your life anyhow (and we are not actually required to like our relatives).

This is her fucking CELL PHONE.

Nope, this is just the usual bullshit from my sister.

She has a gambling habit, and has a tendency to simply run off, leaving people like me and my Mom simply hanging.

That's bullshit. She doesn't want to talk to you, and you have every reason not to want to talk to her. If she ever does call, you should tell her your employer won't let you use your phone.

experts have talked about a phone being a transmissive device in septic environments.

Seems like she should be able to use it off duty, though.

or make personal calls, while on duty. Of course we snuck them in occasionally.

There are many points to consider. In today's technology age, who wants to come across gramma, in her last days, in a Covid19 meme?

Nurses are also using their phone to connect a patient to family members before the patient is put on a vent.

Some places of work are using this policy to prevent and threaten whistleblowers.

In my case, I'm fed up with her lies.

Up to you, if you don't want to say why you cut off your brother, it's ok.

much later, at a time when the eldest resented my getting our mother's attention.

Growing up, he never missed a chance to punish me for it.

When, in adulthood, I figured out that he was a malignant narcissist I cut my losses, and have no regrets.

Who is deep into the conspiracy that she is a “targeted individual” if we see each she will most likely end up in jail like last time.

I cannot help her, but my Mom does and pays a heavy price for it.
