Coronavirus-stricken Chris Cuomo trashes CNN gig during radio show meltdown

Chris Cuomo’s coronavirus-induced fever may have subsided but the CNN anchor was red hot on Monday.

The longtime cable host, 49, had an existential mini-crisis on his SiriusXM show, lashing out at his lucrative primetime gig and blasting President Trump as “full of s–t.”

“I don’t want to spend my time doing things that I don’t think are valuable enough to me personally,” Cuomo said. “I don’t value indulging irrationality, hyper-partisanship.”

Cuomo said his battle with COVID-19 has made him rethink his values and question his position as a public figure.

when he calls out and does what he can to expose CNN's huge role in electing Trump AND Republican majorities in DC and around the nation.

Cuomo has been with CNN, MSNBC and Fox, among others, for years as they worked to put and keep wealth-serving, authoritarianism-building Republican agents in power. What he knows could fill a few books.

I'll gladly do something awful for long enough to earn a fortune before coming to my senses and repenting.

to be more independent and speak more truth because there is a big audience for truth and they need the appearance of credibility.

But all TV personalities have to censor to remain, and the vast majority of those we see on TV are as corrupted and compromised as those on Fox and the Republicans RW plutocrats choose to serve them in government.

Life or death experiences tend to make us re-evaluate our priorities. He's coming to terms w/ the inherent BS of the system that he's worked in, I say good for him.

Speaking about his job as the host of CNN’s “Cuomo Prime Time,” the Queens-born anchor said he doesn’t want to spend his time “trafficking in things that I think are ridiculous.”

Such things include “talking to Democrats about things that I don’t really believe they mean” and “talking to Republicans about them parroting things they feel they have to say.”

for nearly two decades now. Like most, he probably reordered reality a long time ago to justify his own corruption; but whatever he actually believes, he's clearly trying to protect his image while ripping CNN's, but not enough to take his down.

He's been getting more and more out there over the past year, and this virus has really accelerated the descent. From his Bill O'Reilly-style meltdown over some idiot calling him "Fredo", to his bizarre ramblings while sick, to his sudden penchant for doing awkward interviews with his brother (which shouldn't have happened, period), to this... whatever this is.

Cuomo's a privileged silver-spooner from the Hamptons who's been making himself rich in the media for most of his career, and now he's reached that Trumpian point in life where he wants to rewrite history and pretend it was all his own hard work and he was always above it all and he never respected the system he eagerly contributed to night after night for those juicy paychecks.

from what i've heard, those COVID-19 fevers are no joke -- delusion city, full on hallucinations

so a fair bit of that could be getting mixed in with whatever actual character development he's experiencing from dodging the worst of a fatal situation and comprehending his mortality.
