Like everyone else we are staying at home.. hoping to avoid the virus, giving and getting. And in that comes the isolation from friends and family who really get me fired up during the political season.. (mostly in a positive manner, I have my fair share of the far right in the family also)..
But even though I cannot interact with people the way I am used to doing.. I need to hear their voices. So I am calling people again. No texting or writing on walls like we do in here.. but listening to people in real time sigh, laugh, cry.. and I know we are going to be okay.
But we do have an election coming up.. and a President who cannot stay off the TV for 2 hours a day trying to have his free virtual campaign stop as it were.
I have just got to adjust and this will not last forever.. I HOPE!
Hope everyone is coping as well as they can..

(12,265 posts)I spend a lot of time with people in a normal day. Students, faculty, staff and then others during my volunteer work. All of that is done right now. Email is my main form of communication. It is making me nuts.

(12,265 posts)One of the graduate students who works for me emailed me and told me she misses my hugs on a bad day. I am known for that in a way. I figure if they want to fire a 65 year old woman for giving a student a hug when they ask for one go for it .

of financial meltdowns and panics, the Reagan Administration, WWII, the Great Depression, My Mother the Car ...
We've survived them all and came out stronger.
Be of good cheer, we're only months away from Nov 3 and you can expend your rage constructively.
