If there’s one thing we’ve learned as a country from moments of great crisis, it’s that the American spirit of looking out for one another can’t be restricted to our homes, or our workplaces, or our neighborhoods, or our houses of worship. It also has to be reflected in our national government. The kind of leadership that’s guided by knowledge and experience; honesty and humility; empathy and grace – that kind of leadership doesn’t just belong in our state capitols and mayors offices. It belongs in the White House.

That’s why I’m so proud to endorse Joe Biden for President of the United States.

Choosing Joe to be my Vice President was one of the best decisions I ever made. He’s got the character and the experience to guide us through one of our darkest times and heal us through a long recovery. And he’ll surround himself with good people – experts, scientists, and military officials who actually know how to run the government, work with our allies, and always put the American people’s interests above their own.

Right now, we need Americans of goodwill to unite in a great awakening against a politics that too often has been characterized by corruption, carelessness, self-dealing, disinformation, ignorance, and meanness. And to change that, we need Americans of all political stripes to get involved in our politics and public life like never before.

For those of us who believe in building a more just, more generous, more democratic America where everybody has a fair shot at opportunity, who believe in a government that cares about the many, and not just the few, who love this country and are willing to do our part to make sure it lives up to its highest ideals – now’s the time to fight for what we believe in.

And I’ve got a lot more to say about why Joe should be President in the video. I hope you give it a watch. Then I hope you’ll join us at JoeBiden.com and make a plan for how you’re going to get involved.

Hearing President Obama shows me.....how far and fast we've fallen under Trump.

It's obvious which direction the country SHOULD vote. But like Obama said....their war chest, their propaganda media, etc.....and I realize we must have ALL HANDS ON DECK

Barack opens immediately with compassion for those who are sick or who have lost loved ones, a compassion that has been starkly absent from the current WH. His strong message about what we need to work for going forward was eloquent and inspiring, as is his faith in Joe's ability to get the job done with our support at the ballot box and beyond. I am so glad he is back in the public discourse now, helping to change the country's tone and direction to a more positive one.

I wonder if that was part of deal to get Bernie to drop out and endorse.

Regardless, the comments were spot on and very fair to Bernie and his supporters.

BTW, fantastic endorsement of Biden!

He held his fire til it was a sure shot, not only to take down the incompetence of 45 with this damned virus as a metaphor for every bloody thing he’s fucked up, but to open the door for the Bernie folks to join in and to demonstrate faith in anyone who might have enough working brain cells to know we’re doomed if Cap’n Queeg stays at the helm. (He might think he’s Bligh but he’s Queeg-minus the balls)

Let’s go! We have leaders to help us find our way out of this!

Just hearing this wonderful, caring man speak gives me goosebumps. Everything he said is so true. Right now we have the possibility to create a more perfect union and we all need to take responsibility in some way to make that happen. I was not a Bernie supporter but President Obama is correct that we can take some of his very decent proposals and incorporate them into future President Biden's plan. The inequality in this country and the gap between the rich and the poor must be changed.

As of yet, I have not donated to Joe Biden because I was a Warren supporter, but now when I finally receive that $1200 stimulus check I plan on giving a good chunk of it to Biden's campaign.

Let's Go!
