What you did was SO much more than winning an election! I hope you know how much this means to all of us who were watching.
You have made a huge impact on the entire country at a time when hope and inspiration are so needed.
This is one for the history books. This is the America we know and love.
You are heroes.

Good idea to re-watch them all. Such a metaphor for now. So where are we now? Obviously the eagles haven't arrived yet.

Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been checking my posts for replies very diligently.
It was the standard-length version of LOTR as shown on Netflix, we watched the Hobbit on DVD which does appear to have have an extended version included in the package -2 DVD's each for 'An unexpected journey', 'the desolation of Smaug' and 'the battle of the 5 armies' with one of the DVD's from each film marked 'special features' IIRC.
We watched the regular length version of the Hobbit as well... but now you've got me curious and I want to see whats on those special features DVD's!

(9,524 posts)more in Return of the King and it shows Aragorn working with people in the HOuses of Healing, one of my favorite parts that was not in the theatrical version.

(1,798 posts)Also, at the scene of Aragorn's coronation in Return of the King (my wife's favorite scene) I was explaining to her how, in the book, Faramir and Eowyn meet in the houses of healing, something that's not apparent in the regular version that we were watching on Netflix.
Can't remember if that was in the extended version as last time I watched the extended footage was years ago...
Like the Hobbit, I also have LOTR on DVD, I was just too lazy to get up off my sofa to put it in the player! As I mentioned, last time I actually watched the extended version was years ago, maybe time to rectify that...

(9,524 posts)We should do this on DU mail rather than on this thread! If you reply, why don't you do it via DU mail.
