ARIZONA An Arizona congressman called on Dr. Anthony Fauci, the infectious disease expert who has been advising President Donald Trump on the new coronavirus, to move along Monday, saying he hasnt considered the effect of quarantines and stay-at-home orders on the economy.
U.S. Rep. Andy Biggs, a 5th District Republican who heads the House Freedumb Caucus, also publicly called for the resignation of Dr. Deborah Birx, the coronavirus response coordinator for the Trump administrations Coronavirus Task Force.
Biggs and Colorado Congressman Ken Buck co-authored an op-ed in The Washington Examiner in which they asserted Fauci can no longer be one the primary voices in this crisis, especially after his assertion that the economic effects and devastation from this shutdown are merely inconvenient.
They were referring to an earlier comment from Fauci, who said, Its inconvenient from a societal standpoint, from an economic standing to go through this.

(16,927 posts)they had people out there during a past campaign (I'm not going to name the idiot grifter woman who was the cheer-leader of the group) warning about "death squads and committees!"
I truly don't know how they can account for being such idiots and hypocrites with such short memories and still remember to show up to cast votes against helping Americans.

It's amazing how far today's typical Republican rep is willing to dumb down this country to keep Dear Leader happy.

Nazis murdered the weak and vulnerable to "improve the race". You want to do the same just for the sake of your portfolio.

Funny thing about pandemics, Rep. Biggs; they don't much care about the economy. That's why we listen to medical professionals like epidemiologists and not economists when it comes to dealing with a medical crisis. Obviously listening to people who know what they're talking about bothers you mightily. Get over it.
