When Will Elizabeth Warren Endorse Joe Biden? Report Says That's Up To Joe Biden

https://www.mediaite.com/news/when-will-elizabeth-warren-endorse-joe-biden-report-says-thats-up-to-joe-biden/

Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren is the only major Democratic presidential candidate who has yet to endorse former Vice President Joe Biden, but the delay is reportedly not of Warren’s doing.

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders ended days of non-suspense when he endorsed the former veep on Monday, and former President Barack Obama became the latest heavy hitter to come out swinging for Biden on Tuesday.

That leaves Senator Warren as the last Democratic superstar who hasn’t come out in favor of Biden, but according to a New York Times report, Warren isn’t holding out for policy concessions or a spot on the ticket, or anything else. She’s waiting for the high sign from Joe Biden:

The coalescence behind Mr. Biden will gain even more strength with the backing of Senator Elizabeth Warren, who is expected to endorse him soon, according to people familiar with the matter. There is not any holdup or demand for concessions for her support, these people said. Ms. Warren is the only major former rival yet to endorse the former vice president, though only because she has left the timing of an announcement up to Mr. Biden’s team.

4. Here's what I think it means: Warren was a go-between

for discussions between Biden and Sanders. In that role it may have been better for Warren to not have endorsed either party. In that light Warren's non endorsement of Biden makes sense.

9. Makes a lot of sense and her delayed reaction to Biden's endorsement might be to give her

a higher profile testament in the very near future. I am totally not concerned about Sen. Warren's lack of endorsement at this point. Unfortunately for her, we can't afford to see Charlie Baker appoint a Republican to this safe D seat. I see her as an economic force in the Senate and will coordinate nicely with the SML/House/WH leadership.

If we win the WH and Senate, I see a real different Democratic dynamic going to work. They are going to be faced with a multitude of pressing issues that will required a national focused effort to address. Pandemic and healthcare, climate change, Immigration, and US foreign policy triage are all on the table, looking for creative solutions that don't include taxcuts for the 1% and Big Business.

On edit-

And we need a new Democratic Energy policy that trashes the Old Republican Energy policy. Decentralized, labor intensive energy grids comprised of wind/solar/geo-thermal with distributed battery storage. Create new industries to make this happen. Lets call it the New infrastructure Decade.

8. It could mean she's letting Biden pick the timing of when to roll out her endorsement

Not too uncommon from what I understand. I remember in 2008, Kerry had decided to endorse Obama in late 2007, but let the Obama campaign decide when to announce his endorsement. They chose the day after the New Hampshire primary, to try to regain some momentum.

Is that it might be being saved for a grand display of unity at the convention.

There is no danger Sen. Warren's supporters will not be solidly for Mr. Biden, and she never waged any campaign against him which exceeded the normal bounds of friendly political contest. So there is certainly no hurry in the matter, she is in no wise a potential threat which needs to be scotched quickly as possible, which Sanders was.

Sen. Professor Warren is the leader of what might be called the loyal progressive faction --- those persons of the left, such as myself, who wish to influence the Party towards left policies but have no interest whatever in overthrowing its leadership or supplanting it, and who recognize that in this country we form our coalitions before an election, rather than after one, as is the case in multi-party parliamentary systems, and that for better or worse, the Democratic Party is the coalition we belong with, and ought to adhere to. If the Party is to adopt any movement to the left in its platform this year, if these are presented in such a way that they can be credited to Sen. Warren, it would go down much better with more moderate types, than would changes which could be taken as the price of loyalty from Sanders. A grand show of reconciliation between Mr. Biden and Sen. Warren at the convention would at the very least confuse this issue in a useful manner....
