https://covid19.topos.com/It takes several seconds to load. My question is about the filtering. In the bottom left are three different colored squares, low, mid and high, for filtering. You're supposed to hover to filter. It takes a while, and the map does change, depending on which square you choose, but I can't make any sense of the result. Watch Arizona, for instance.

(26,737 posts)I can't speak to whether the data is sufficient... but the tool works like this:
Let's say you're asked "Why is NY having such an awful time with the virus? Is it just that the population is so dense?"
You could go to this tool and select (under 'Demographic Data') and select "Population" and then "Population Density"... and switch from "Total Number of Cases" and change to "Cases per capita". The legend (in the bottom left) would then allow you to filter to look at counties with high population densities but low case volume... then look at low population density but still high case volume (per capita).
Is race a factor? Switch to "% African American population" and review areas with high/low AA demographics and high/low infection rates.

(13,783 posts)... I'm afraid it's so slow I can't play around with it a la your sugestions. I can get Demographic to drop down, but then it won't scroll, etc. I guess they're a victim of their own success.

(26,737 posts)The performance will probably depend more on your graphics card and memory (and your connection speed while it's loading).
