DU Malfunctioning?

Having to click "Post My Thread" twice, then get a yellow screen saying it was already posted.

Everything else functioning correctly here.

Just a heads up to Admins if something weird is going on. (?)

Anyone else having issues?

TY, Admin folks for all you do!

Sorry to hear you & others are also experiencing difficulties. But ty for confirming it isn't some issue exclusively on my end. 👍

or have our account sitting inactive for a couple of hours. Troublemakers look for ports into sites to damage them, a case where users freely come onto the site without going through a logon protocol can provide such ports. It takes like 3 seconds to get logged on, not a biggie for me.

no login is needed.

If troublemakers can look for ports, then they can do it even while some is actively posting and reading.

You've never heard (I'm sure) members saying anything strange happened while they were logged, whether idle for seconds or hours.

I think you are solving a non-existent problem.

Even if your IP address is known to DU, a second level check can be done to see whether you are dragging in a virus that may have infected your system. That is one simplistic reason why a login should be standard.
