were so ill they had to be hospitalized. That's one out of 7 young adults! And that doesn't include those who were sick and miserable for days.

It was 20% in age group 30-49 and 36% hospitalized out of 50-69. ICU admissions and deaths are from these numbers.

For the parents and grandparents these people risk bringing disease home to, 70 and over, 30-55% had to be hospitalized depending on where, and of course ICU and death rates were prohibitive.

These figures aren't the final word, but indicative: This is ILLNESS bringing misery if not death.

So, for everyone wishing this crowd the misery, fear, and whatever they're bring to others, some will regret this, a few deeply, whether they're hospitalized or not. Experts believe CV cases are under-reported and on the upswing in central TX. And this is a particularly irresponsible subset.

Idea: How about if we did NOT pay COVID medical bills for people who frivolously broke social isolation? Wishful thinking, of course, but that'd dim the smiles on a bunch of these stupid faces.

My mother and father who raised me knew polio and TB victims personally. My grandfather died from TB.

The polio vaccine was administered to many of us boomers at a very young age.
