Here's What Bothers Me Most About What Romney Said...

He did not hold an emergency press conference to express his sympathy for the families of those besieged. He did not even hold a press conference to offer unsolicited advice to the president, such as "Send in the marines! Now!" The whole purpose of his public address was to criticize those who had attempted to distance themselves from the religious intolerance of a certain notorious anti-Islamic film. Their actions, which Romney called "an apology for America's values", were "disgraceful".

Since when has religious intolerance been an American value? My Constitution gives me the freedom to practice any religion I want. Does Romney have a different Constitution? Maybe one written by his Church rather than his country?Or one penned by some long dead Pope to mobilize a Crusade?

Both Obama and Clinton have targeted the terrorists, not the citizens who happen to share a religion with them. Al Qaeda and its splinter groups are the enemy. The Democratic presidents' goal has been and is simple. Save American lives.

Bush, Bolton, Cheney and now Romney seem to have a different agenda. They have no interest in stopping Al Qaeda. They would rather demonize the Islamic world. Worse yet, they mock and denounce Americans who refuse to demonize Islam. Why? What does our country have to gain by embracing the hateful notion that all Muslims are evil? Does Romney crave the right to invade any (Muslim) country of his choice, in order to liberate its natural resources? Does he subscribe to the NeoCon notion that America can only be strong if it uses force to take what other (oil producing) countries have? Certainly, anyone bent upon invading another middle Eastern country, say Iran, would much rather denounce Islam as dangerous than talk about the real threat posed by Al Qaeda. For, Iran is Al Qaeda's enemy. And Al Qaeda does such a good job of scaring Americans so that they are more receptive when our Republican politicians say Hating Muslims is an American value. Sometimes it seems that Al Qaeda is the NeoCons' best friend...

And that is what bothers me the most about what Romney said. All along, I have assumed that he is just another dirty venture capitalist, intent upon taking from the middle class to line his own pockets. A bankster, but not a war criminal.

Now, I have to wonder has Romney been sipping the NeoCon Kool Aid? Is he trying to soften us up for yet another foreign war?

is trying to soften us up. He wants to be president - that's it.
His "advisors" are the holders of the agenda. His advisors are neocon warmongers.
