I am very concerned the Census will be negatively affected

by COVID. Without the field workers to get true numbers we can see an under reporting of minorities and a stronger redistricting in favor of Republicans.
Also less resources for areas that will need them.

I just have a feeling that if they don’t we’ll have 50 million in the country suddenly. Seriously it will be so undercounted that it’s turn up useless. Not sure constitutionally we can postpone a year but I think we should.

1. Educated people with internet are likely to file with the current online system (We already filed). Since rural areas are more likely to have more problems with internet connections, there may be an under reporting in rural areas if 'digital divide'. This may counteract the loss of urban folks.

2. Can Congress change the Census date? It says every 10 years in the Constitution? Not sure if it says completed every 10 years. So since it was started on time do they have the wiggle room to extend it? But then comes the scarier part -- what if the republicans use such a change to delay finalizing a census report so that they can have an extra election cycle with gerrymandered districts?

There are a lot of unknown consequences -- both ntentional and unintentional to any change.
